your decision it's not one clubs decision or another well what a difference a month like Florida governor Charlie Crist in the debate on this program in late March declared five times he would run for the Senate as a Republican and not as an independent a

company took back this way joining us now from Miami is the Republican candidate in the race Marco Rubio this

review first of all what does Charlie Crist's change tell you about him as a personal politics well

I'm not going to comment on the part about a person this is really not about personalities or anything of that nature but it does look

a chemical issue here as well accountability and one thing that's missing in politics today is people that will run on a platform and

then go to Washington DC and actually carried out and I think what Charlie Crist that we don't know what the platform has anyone ever well you're never gonna be able to hold them accountable to anything because opinions are going to change based

upon what the polling tell them or what is political convenience health and I I think we've learned that lesson here in Florida over the last few years that's

why his decision is not surprising to anybody who has worked with him here in Florida %HESITATION but and that's why this decision this week shouldn't be surprising to this audience either the

dynamics of this race now changed dramatically because of becoming a three person rise according

to the latest well yeah Paul and we're going to put it up on the screen running against president democratic congressman Kendrick me you

get sixty four percent of the Republican vote but only five percent from Democrats and twenty nine percent from independent so

question how do you reach out for the two thirds of all Florida voters were not registered Republic well

I've been here before I remind everyone that a year ago when I got in the Republican primary I was down by thirty some odd points and we spent the year traveling the state telling

people what we believe them and those numbers change and the thing is going to happen and how we're going to have a chance to talk to a broader audience a Floridian about

most reading don't wanna sign and I'm pretty confident that that the end of that process six months from now those

numbers will be dramatically different because I believe are the only candidate in this race that's going to go to Washington stand

up to this Washington DC agenda that's taking our country in the wrong direction and offer very clear alternative but when images and mainstream positions I thought you were a conservative ok

conservative thought into mainstream position in America what's not mainstream in America is the belief that we should spend money that we don't have what's

not mainstream in America is the belief that we should take this crazy complicated tax code and make a crazier and more complicated what's

not mainstream in America as this belief that somehow of America weakens its position in the world the

world will become a safer place these are the positions that quite frankly the policies coming out of Washington would

create that's well outside the mainstream of American political thought well I believe that way political pundits describes conservatism and I am braces conservatism as

mainstream part of America Mr Rubio it's been suggested though that on some positions you are moving a little bit from the right into
