McCarthy has decided to withdraw from the speakership race I just want to get your take on this is

this another decisive defeat for the establishment and a victory for conservatives well

I think the reason we are we're seeing a change in leadership in the house is if the American people are fed up they're

they're they're fed up with the Republican leadership that that isn't listening to us and and isn't honoring

the promises that were made to the men and women who gave Republicans majorities in both houses %HESITATION

there the volcanic frustration with Washington had that spilled over to the point where

where every one of us wouldn't more sick and tired of leadership that doesn't stand and fight Obama on anything and

and it is my hope that that what the Republican conference does now replace elected speaker who

will be a strong conservative and most importantly who will put it is number one priority keeping

the promises that all of us made to the men and women who who sent us to Washington the fight for them senator

I know the house of representatives a very different bodies in the Senate %HESITATION and really you know I mean you

Daniel Webster anybody else well you know Jeff I I have very deliberately inconsistently stayed out of house leadership elections that I think that the question for the house conference so so rather than discuss

a particular person because that's that's a question for every every house Republican tiptoed to consider and weigh in and make a decision what

I've tried to do instead is described the characteristics that I believe %HESITATION should be reflected in leadership in both the house and the Senate and and the most important characteristic is

were told across this country if only we had a Republican house of representatives then things would be different and

numbers we picked up nine Senate seats we retired Harry Reid as Majority Leader we also won the biggest majority in the house since nineteen nineteen twenty and

what on earth has the majorities in both houses down in the nine months they've been in power you know when I ask that Jeff people typically say nothing

and and but sadly it's worse than nothing it would have been better if they'd done nothing after the election Republican leadership came back the first thing they did is

they voted to fund obamacare then they voted to fund amnesty then they voted to fund Planned Parenthood and

then Republican leadership took the lead in confirming Loretta Lynch as Attorney General everyone
